Meet Dr Louise McGreal (she/her)

 

With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of psychology, Louise is a qualified counselling psychologist and registered psychologist who has devoted her career to providing therapeutic support to a diverse range of clients. She works with individuals, couples, LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent individuals, those with disabilities, groups, as well as young people and children previously. Known for her warmth, approachability, and compassion, Louise is dedicated to helping clients navigate their emotional and psychological challenges with empathy and understanding.

Louise utilises evidence-based therapeutic approaches while fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment that encourages open, honest communication. Her practice is grounded in person-centred therapy, while she seamlessly integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and psychodynamic approaches to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. Louise believes that every client is the expert in their own life and that, with the right guidance, they can uncover the tools and insights necessary for healing and growth.

How it works

  • Contact Louise using the form below to enquire further about her services. 
  • Louise accepts Mental Health Care Plans (rebates are currently $96.55 for this with 10 sessions available per calendar year), private health insurance and private clients.
  • Louise can provide a free initial 15 minute phone call to discuss your needs and consider if she may be the right fit for you.
  • Louise will then send you a client intake form and confidentiality form.
  • Sessions are conducted via video using Coviu or by phone and are $220 for individuals and $270 for couples. In certain cases Louise can provide a sliding scale for session fees, please discuss this prior to the session. 
  • Louise has flexible times available and can offer sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly 
  • 48 hours notice is required for cancellations and failing to attend a booked session will result in the full session fee being charged.
